Optimum has a wide & varied range of Intumescent paints and coatings, sometimes referred to as fireproof, fire resistant paint, flame/fire retardent, firestop or fire rated paints, are used in buildings as a passive fire protection measure to protect structural steel.

They are usually specified in a fire risk assessment to comply with safety legislation and fire regulations and the level of fire protection or fire resistance is given in minutes which could be 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes. Optimum can assist with specification detail & also budgeting for specific Projects working within international Standards & guidelines.
